Wingham & Co. is a purveyor of British furniture and decorative arts from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Besides the pieces we offer for sale in our collection, we are also available to help advise on building a collection and sourcing pieces. We also offer appraisal services and help with collection management and deaccessioning.
Our Story
At Wingham & Co., we believe that pieces of furniture of the highest quality elevate any space whether traditional or modern. Their sculptural quality, proportions, and materials used in each piece not only have stood the test of time but each piece continues to be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing. At Wingham & Co., we are proponents of the British country house aesthetic where the balanced mixture of pieces of different styles and periods are presented often in unassuming ways inspiring dialogue between and among pieces and those who view them.
Wingham & Co. was founded by Andrew W. Ogletree, who has spent over a decade handling British and European furniture. Having graduated with an M.A. (Hons) in Art History from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, Andrew joined the English and European decorative arts department at Sotheby's in New York, ultimately running the English furniture sales. He participated in many high-profile auctions including the Collection of Lily and Edmond Safra, the Collection of Bunny Mellon, and the Collection of Patricia Kluge to name a few.
After nearly ten years at Sotheby's, Andrew became a Director at Mallett & Son (Antiques), in New York. where he helped the firm exhibit at Masterpiece Fair, London, TEFAF, Maastricht, and The San Francisco Fall Art and Antiques Show.
Andrew is and Attingham Summerschool graduate and a member of Royal Oak.
